Effiom v. The State

The appellant was charged for the murder of 3 people. The trial was from 1983 to 1991. The appellant pleaded guilty and brought an action for unreasonable delay. The court held that the delay in this case was due to the Nigerian circumstances and incident adduce sufficient evidence and if the appellant wants to prove delay in trial, it must be because such delay had led to miscarriage of justice.
